I was sitting here thinking about who I want to represent the Republican party come election time in 2012. Before the 2008 elections, I liked Mitt Romney at first, but Fred Thompson jumped into the picture (maybe too late) and it was Thompson who I wanted in the White House but, as we all know, McCain got the nomination, and I wasn't really thrilled about that. When he picked Sarah Palin as his running mate, I was a bit shocked he picked this unknown to many, but I think it was a brilliant pick.
Getting back to 2012,.....when it rolls around, I know right now that Sarah Palin is my first pick to represent the Republicans and for good reasons too. She kicked out corruption big time in the Alaskan oil industry, she has REAL experience, and she has been in charge of a real government budget,...not just a community organizer like Al Capone!! (thought I was going to say Obama huh?)
I will add this too,....Bobby Jindal would make a pretty good V.P. for her too!

I agree that Sarah Palin has great potential to be a great representative for the Reps come 2012, but it is just way to early to be saying this as a voter. A candidate though does need to start early unlike the way Fred Thompson did.

On a Washington State (liberal HQ) side note, look out for the first Republican Governor in over 20 years come 2012!! I think Attorney General Rob McKenna will run possibly.

Is that so?
That would be great, but like Dino Rossi, he has a tough road ahead of him!

Personally, I would have no problem with Bobby Jindal as the nomination in 2012. We have not heard the last from Gov. Palin, however. The media and left would enjoy having her as the nominee, although they would be making an incredible mistake underestimating her abilities.

Maybe a Palin/Jindal ticket.
Det, you are not joking.
Det said the same in the original comment. It probably is too early, so how about they start the campaign next month? You never know what the American public will do these days with voting on things like American Idol, and stuff like that, they think presidential elections are like American Idol! =the popularity contest.
Sarah Palin scares the living hell out of the Democrats, libtards, and all "progressives" out there! This is why they blast her as much as possible. This is why a no-name on SNL who portrayed her became an instant household name. They want any dirt on her they can find to knock her down. She will most likely run as a Republican if she runs in 2012, but she is a Conservative first, and a Republican second. The left knows this and fear it. We all have been wondering if her leaving the seat of governor in Alaska would damage her chances in 2012 and I can say 100% that it WILL NOT. It is up to her, she can run the table if she wants to.
Just my thoughts

Without quick judgement, I ask you all if you think that Oprah and Palin used each other in this interview? Think about it- does Oprah really like Palin, and vice-versa.
