Sick and tired of the ignoring of Obama's current war. I know Obama is off and running trying to kill us all here first but in Afghanistan, he is doing the exact same as G W Bush was doing in Iraq. Now, again, tell me why so many liberals against the Iraq War? And why so much for the Afgan war?

I think the reason people are accepting of the Afghanistan war, as opposed to Iraq, is because Afghanistan is looked at as being a legitimate target based on 9/11 and the so-called 'War on Terror', where Iraq is seen as having not been. Certainly it has nothing to do with Obama; during the Bush administration, while Iraq was often criticized as being a war based on lies, Afghanistan was pointed out as legitimate.
Or maybe it's because Obama is a Nazi, the next coming of Hitler, and Afghanistan is his opening bid for military expansion!

Ditto Al!
It would be something if they did get Bin Laden, but I believe he is already dead. I think he bought the farm during one of the bombing raids. So let the faithful rejoice, he may be with his 70 virgins.
Let these guys keep dying in the name of Allah. Sooner or later there will be no more enemy, they will extinct themselves.

Obama said during the campaign that Afghanistan is the legitmate place to fight since the terrorists are there. He's Commander in Chief. He's the one giving the orders. I don't think our troops went over their on their own volition to take a hike and wade throught canals.
Remember, Obama can give the order any time to pull out.
No one has ever won a war in Afghanistan, ask the Russkies they were there for the last war.

Afghanistan is crucial and more important in terms of fighting that far from our own shores than the Iraq mess that lasted way too long. Bush abandoned Afghanistan after getting control of it and now look at how it is. To be honest, I don't think we belong in either of the two, but what can a fresh new President do when he inherits a fiasco like this?

You know Lib, I'm starting to feel sorry for Obama. That poor guy has inherited so many ills from the past administration I almost want to cry. How can he get anything done in this mess? Thank goodness he has a majority in Congress sympathetic to what he wants and needs to accomplish. They together hand in hand should have this country back on its collective feet in no time. The world will see his what he has done, and through his diplomacy the world will come together and live in peace and harmony.
Al....Det...GGirl HELP ME!!!!!! I think I've fallen through the looking glass.

Of course, weren't we helping the mujahideen against Russia? That might have had an effect on the outcome.
CAN Obama simply declare the war over any time he wants? I'm not sure of how presidential power works when it comes to ending wars.

Monty, does it really matter with this president? This is the same guy using the "reconciliation process" to push through a healthcare bill that effectively changes our government forever. The largest bloodless political coup in the history of the world. We were/are warned of such things by our forefathers, but fail to heed the call due to our intellectual disingenuousness of not seeing the truth for what it is.

Incorrect Montrov! The USA did help them fight the Soviet Union. That is why the Soviets couldn't defeat them.
