Full Version: HONOR KILLINGS
Detmurds
Honor Killings,...I have heard that over 5000 have happened in the US alone! (Unsure of the amount of time that these murders occured)

In recent news, I think we all heard about this story;

A 17-year-old girl who fled to Florida after converting from Islam to Christianity will almost certainly be forced to return home to Ohio, experts say, despite her fears that she will become the victim of an honor killing for abandoning her parents' faith.

Rifqa Bary, who hitchhiked to an Ohio bus station earlier this month and took a charter bus to Orlando, remains in protective custody with Florida's Department of Children and Families. A judge is expected to rule Friday on the jurisdiction of the case, but several legal experts say the girl is bound to be sent back to Ohio.

This is a dangerous situation, could create hostile hatred and violence? This is the coming of SHARIA LAW! Don't agree? Look at EURABIA,....I mean Europe. wink.gif

A question I have,...if this was a Christian to Islam conversion, I bet the courts would "almost certainly" NOT allow the child to go back with her parents. She is a dead girl if she goes to Ohio. Sharia Law is at our doorsteps.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

So much for the right to choose and self-determination. I understand she is in high school, but girls in high school can get abortions without parent consent.
Is she emancipated at 17? What if a good lawyer gets the case and drags it out until she turns 18?

Pray for this girl, and bind any evil from touching her.
Montrovant
If she were emancipated, this case wouldn't be happening it seems to me. If they are able to drag it out till she's 18, I imagine it ends up a win for her since I don't think at that point they have any say in where she goes.

The article makes it sound as though she'll be sent back to Ohio for jurisdictional reasons, not necessarily to put her back in the house with her family.

Do you know of any cases in this supposed 5000 honor killings in the US where the killer was let free because it's ok in their religious belief? That would concern me as far as the US adopting sharia law. Otherwise it sounds like more crying wolf. As long as the killers are persecuted for their crimes, it's not an issue of the US adopting the laws, but perhaps more followers of those twisted ideals have come into the country.

Sad thing is, the authorities take kids out their homes away from their parents because someone makes a comment or unsabstantiated rumors of child neglect or abuse. There may be no evidence but that doesn't stop it from happening.

Now this young lady has a real fear for her life and she may be sent back. There is something backward about the whole situation.
Detmurds
Children get little respect from our court systems. Child molesters, and abusers are released too early and they should be put away for life, or execution.

Why are molesters out in our streets?

the pic below gives the perfect example as to why these creeps to children should be put to a slow and painful death.

The stepfather of a woman allegedly kidnapped and held for 18 years in the backyard compound of a sex offender and his wife says she was reunited with her mother. She gave birth to two kids from the result of this bastard raping her continuously.

The girl should never have to go back to those parents of Islam, they will cut her head off.

Let's look at the big picture now ok? (WE = US Government)

We put terrorists in beach front houses in Burmuda

We investigate our own CIA

We dismiss the intimidation of the Black Panthers at voting precincts

We force a child to go back home to be murdered

We are so desperate to give our health care to people who are not here legally

We want to control the internet in the event of an emergency

We invite heads of countries from the Axis of Evil to our country

We think our people are Nazis, and or mobs

We are f-ing stupid
Crusader
The sad thing is it isn't "we", but those we sent to represent the collective "we".

Somewhere along the line something went wrong and they no longer represent us, but they think they rule us.

Those in Washington will rue the day when the American people decide enough and it's time for all of you to go. For most of them jail is the proper place.
Montrovant
No one has addressed my question about what her being sent back to Ohio actually entails. The article brought it up as a jurisdictional matter, does that actually mean she will be sent back to her family, or are we making that assumption in order to lament how horrible this case is?
Crusader
The impression I got, and I could be wrong, she was going to be sent back to her family. What doesn't make sense is that in Florida they take child welfare more than serious. Parents have had their children taken away and had to prove their innocence, which flies in the face of innocent until proven guilty, of any abuse, molestation, or neglect.

She is a minor... she should be returned immediately to her parents...

If they harm or abuse her in any way they will be charged and prosecuted...

When she is 18 she can do whatever she pleases...

Until then she should do as her parents ask...

She is a brat!

Crusader
Al, she claims her father has threatened to kill and disavow her.

She has chosen Christianity over Islam. That is consider a disgrace in the Muslim world and sharia law dictates the punishment.

She may genuinely fear for her life.
Alucard
What she claims does not matter. She is a minor and therefore she belongs to her parents...

The government has no authority to hold her from them unless she has been abused...

Children say alot of things... I want to hear from the parents... Where is there story?

Very good point Al. There is the parent's side to this story, but what if they do kill her?

Well, a judge has ruled that this girl go back to Ohio. Let's see what happens next?

This may be a little off topic, but Islam refers to this practice as an "honor killing"?
Who does it honor? The father, family, Islam, or Allah?

If it is to honor the father or family, sharia law gives them the right to take a life? If it is to honor Islam sharia law gives you the right to kill in Islam's name? Or, is it ordained by Allah to kill in the name of Allah?

Who gets the "honor" to kill, and who do they "honor"?

This is a bit odd since I keep hearing how Islam is such a tolerant religion.

But is it in the name of Allah, or for Mohammed? Allah is their god, while Mohammed is their "jesus".

I'm sure most of you all have heard about this recent attack,..

PHOENIX — A young Iraqi woman whose father allegedly hit her with his car because she had become too Westernized died from her injuries Monday after laying in a coma for nearly two weeks.

Meanwhile, there are people in the Obama Administration who think there should be some "Sharia Law" zones just like there is in England. BS!
Montrovant
Who in the administration has advocated for sharia law zones?
Crusader
It would not surprise me if one of Obama's handpicked advisors, let's not use the word "czar", did support such a measure considering the record of those he chose to surround himself with.
GinaGirl81
I heard about that too. Here is something I found

"Nonie Darwish talks to Fox News about The Obama Administration nominee for State Department Legal Advisor, Harold Koh, and his alleged statement that Islamic Sharia Law should apply in US Courts."

Youtube video

Thanks GG.

I think I heard even more though from someone in the Obama administration saying similar sharia supporting words?
Montrovant
What I've seen about Koh is that someone claims he made a statement regarding sharia law, which has been refuted by the organizer of the event. Even those articles I saw which assumed Koh made such a statement, and that it meant he supports sharia law superceding US law, the statement was always a hearsay thing, that a lawyer named Steven Stein claims Koh made. Maybe it was someone else Det heard about, hopefully he can recall the name.
